Here we have a recently purchased Ford Mondeo booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean having just purchased the car and noticing the lack of power compared to his other Mondeo.

🔍 Initial health check found an EGR related issue & no turbo boost.
📊 Diagnostics showed a lazy thermostat meaning the engine takes much longer to warm up thus using excess diesel reducing mpg. The big concern was the total lack of any turbo boost. Boost sensor was removed cleaned and replaced (see attached pic) and a vacuum pipe was reattached under the inlet manifold. BINGO we now had the correct manifold boost pressures.
After we performed a manual check on the oil level to confirm correct levels we proceeded with the clean.
⚙️ After just 10 minutes the engine vibration lessened and by the end of the clean was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
