Vehicle not as quiet, smooth, responsive or economical as it used to be?Here we have a 2007 Saab 9-3 1.9 tdi booked in for diagnostics and Engine Carbon Clean with an DPF and limited performance issues.🔎 Initial inspection indicated all components working correctly other than the DPF issue.
Prior to our arrival our customer had had a new EGR valve, swirl flaps and the dpf cleaned but still not performing correctly.📊 Diagnostics showed a blocked DPF code and some historic codes which we documented, emailed to the owner and cleared and then on with the clean.Live data showed the DPF pressure sensor operating correctly so we recalibrated the DPF and pressure sensor as well as calibrating the EGR.⚙️ Within 15mins the engine was smoother and more responsive. Post clean test drive unfortunately the DPF light illuminated and was back in limp mode 🤔
Next step we manually measured the DPF pressures to find it was still partially blocked and the car was unable to regenerate.
We conducted a 15min static regeneration followed with a recheck of the dpf pressures to find it had dramatically dropped and the dpf was free flowing. All back to where it should be & another happy customer. 👍☑️ Full Diagnostics
