VW Tiguan DPF issues

⚠️ Engine Light or DPF light on? Don’t ignore it as it can lead to a blocked DPF.🚗 Here we have a VW Tiguan 2.0 TDI ( 86k miles ) booked in for a diagnostics and an Engine Carbon Clean❗ The owner had a DPF engine light come on frequently in the last few days and sort out Engine Carbon Clean to help find/resolve the issue.🔎 We arrived and initial inspection of the engine bay found no visual issues. All pipes, wires and components looking OK.📊 Initial diagnostics found 1 code on a throttle pedal position sensor. Further component test confirmed this was historical so was cleared down.Monitoring of live engine data should DPF regeneration currently OK, EGR, Injectors & Turbo all operating correctly.🌡️ BUT and it’s a big but on a modern diesel engine, engine temperature was low and taking an age to get to normal operating temperature, and with the cabin temperature turned up the engine temperature dropped back into the 70’s°CWay to low to engage a regeneration.Faulty thermostat.⚠️ A cold running vehicle won’t regenerate properly or at all. There will typically be NO CODES present for a thermostat issue like this.🌐 www.enginecarboncleanlincolnshire.com 👀☑️ Full live data Diagnostics☑️ Which?
